Carrying a much sportier design than the previous models, the 2022 Ford Escape is covered with character lines giving the car a sharp look. The 2022 Ford Escape comes with a length of 180.5in, 74.1in width, a height of 66.1in, and a wheelbase of 106.7in.
When comparing it to the 2020 model, the 2022 Ford is 2.4in longer and 1.7in wider, making it bigger than the 2020 model. In addition, the front comes with a powerful-looking grille with headlights sitting on the bonnet and cube-type fog lights.
Trim designs include S, SE, SE Hybrid, SEL, SEL Hybrid, Titanium Hybrid, SEL plug-in Hybrid, Titanium, Titanium Plug-in Hybrid. Standard color options include Agate Black Metallic, Atlas Blue Metallic, Carbonized Gray Metallic, Iced Blue Silver Metallic, Ionic Silver Metallic, Oxford White, Flight Blue, and Iced Blue, and the list goes on.
Other exterior features include 17-inch steel wheels, chrome exterior trims, roof rails, a power liftgate, and a panoramic sunroof. The SEL trim design comes with 18-inch aluminum wheels, and the titanium comes with 19-inch aluminum wheels.
The exterior has been updated with features that include sensors fitted all around the car.
With a seating capacity of 5 people, the 2022 Ford Escape comes with many smart technological features. The interior is without doubt handsomely furnished with dark times though you can opt for dual-tone seating color.
Ample headroom and legroom are present, and cargo capacity is 33.5 cu-ft allowing at least eight carry-on cases to be stored. The spacious interior allows it to fit 21 cases with folded rear seats.
Textured clothing material for seats is standard, but as you move up the trim levels, the model comes with faux-leather seating, genuine leather, etc. Optional features also include ventilated and heated front seats.
Performance
The 2022 Ford Escape comes with two engine variants, including Hybrid and PHEV variants. Therefore it is powered by a 1.5-liter turbocharged inline-3 and a 2.0-liter turbocharged in-line fore engine.
The 1.5-liter engine can generate 181hp and 190 Lb-Ft of torque, while the in-line 2.0-liter engine has a horsepower capacity of 250 and 280 Lb-Ft of torque. Moreover, both the engines come with an eight-speed automatic transmission which comes with the standard FWD, or you can go for the optional AWD.
The model can sprint up to 60MPH within 7.7 seconds and a quarter-mile within 15.9 seconds. Its top speed record is 126 MPH which is pretty impressive.
Technology
Infotainment features include the standard 4.2 inch-radio display, AM/FM radio, six-speaker audio system.
The car features an 8.0-inch touchscreen, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, remote control, ten-speaker Bose Sound System, in-dash navigation, and a 12.3-inch digital gauge display.
On top of that, we can also see a tilt and telescoping steering column with cruise and audio control features, dual-zone automatic climate control, USB charging ports, SYNC3 interface, height-adjustable driver’s seat, etc.
